The concept

The light goes in.
Your brain does the work.

When light pulses at a precise frequency in front of your closed eyelids, your brain naturally synchronises its own waves to that frequency. This is the Frequency Following Response — or brainwave entrainment.

The result: a targeted, reproducible mental state — no hypnosis, no guidance, no imposed content. The experience is 100% yours — unique to each session, unique to each brain.

Non-invasive Substance-free No contact Eyes closed EEG-measurable Fully customisable

This IS…

A controlled and precise light stimulus

How it works

The light pulses. Your brain synchronises. That's all — and that's already a lot.

ThinkClear discovery workshop — participants lying down, Roxiva lamp on tripod

Discovery workshop · group sessions from 3 people, travel included · individual sessions by appointment at 3440

You settle in comfortably — seated or lying down, eyes closed — facing the lamp. A short introductory programme (3–5 min) adjusts the light intensity to your sensitivity and ensures you're at ease with the process.

Then the main programme starts — usually accompanied by music. You don't have to do anything. Your brain perceives the light pulses through your eyelids and naturally synchronises its own waves to the proposed frequency. This is the Frequency Following Response.

The result varies depending on the chosen programme: deep relaxation, focus, energy boost or inner exploration. The 5 frequency bands below each correspond to a distinct mental state.

🎧 Music plays an important role — it amplifies and accompanies the state induced by the light. We choose it together based on the session goal.
δ Delta
0.1 – 4 Hz
Deep recovery, regeneration. The state of dreamless sleep.
θ Thêta
4 – 8 Hz
Light trance, deep creativity. The zone of inspiration and introspection.
α Alpha
8 – 12 Hz
Wakeful relaxation, stress relief, accessible meditation.
β Bêta
12 – 30 Hz
Alertness, focus, mental clarity. Ideal before an exam or intellectual effort.
γ Gamma
30 – 80 Hz
Flow state, high-performance cognition, brain coherence.
My sessions

Every goal, its programme.

Sessions are personalised based on what you're looking for. Here are the most requested.

🌊
Deep Relaxation
Theta · Alpha waves — 4 to 12 Hz

Truly unwinding, not just taking a break. A state of muscular and mental release that many never reach naturally — not even on holiday.

⏱ 20 – 45 min🎧 With music
Boost & Motivation
Gamma · Beta waves — 40 Hz

Leave with energy and a drive to act. Gamma sessions activate brain coherence and the flow state. Perfect in the morning or before anything that demands mental sharpness.

⏱ 15 – 30 min🎧 With music
🔭
Exploration & Creativity
Mixed waves · Hypnagogic

For the curious. Exploration programmes induce rich hypnagogic states — geometries, colours, a sense of weightlessness — without any substance. An experience hard to describe, easy to live.

⏱ 30 – 45 min🎧 With music
Who is it for?

No typical profile.
Curiosity is enough.

Sceptics welcome. The lamp doesn't need you to believe in it to work.

👩‍💻
The burnt-out professional

Who wants to decompress quickly, deeply, and leave with a clearer head.

📚
The struggling student

Concentration issues, procrastination, exam stress. The lamp helps find the thread again.

🧘
The wellbeing practitioner

Who already meditates or wants to go deeper into self-knowledge, without imposed content.

🔬
The rational curious

Who wants to experience it to understand, not to believe. Scientific approach welcome.

Testimonials

What they say.

"

Came in early for a boost. I relaxed almost immediately. I loved the music right away and felt like I was in a bubble. With the little blanket, the warmth wrapped around me and I felt safe. A kaleidoscope of shapes and yellow-orange hues — it was beautiful.

"Good Morning World" session (7Hz, 14Hz, 40Hz) followed by "Motivation Creation" (Gamma 40Hz). The music accompanied perfectly. A real boost before a busy day.

I treated myself to a special roXiva motivation session. My review to myself: "I had an amazing motivating session" — "and what did you see?" — "light, orange and yellow" — "that's it?" — "I heard myself snoring and fell asleep" 😂

The science

A phenomenon
documented since the 1940s.

Brainwave entrainment is not a belief. It is a measurable neurophysiological mechanism — studied in laboratories for over 75 years.

1949
The pioneer of stroboscopy

British neurologist William Grey Walter is the first to document, via EEG, that the brain synchronises with a stroboscopic light — and that this effect produces intense visual experiences with eyes closed, without any substance. The birth of photic driving.

Walter W.G. · Scientific American, 1949
2008
The reference review

A review of 20 clinical studies on the psychological effects of brainwave entrainment: improved attention, reduced stress and anxiety, cognitive support. Modest but consistent effects across protocols.

Huang T.L., Charyton C. · Alt. Therapies Health Med., 2008
2016
Current research

Li-Huei Tsai's lab at MIT publishes landmark findings in Nature on 40 Hz (gamma) light stimulation and its impact on brain activity. Research is ongoing, with human trials in development.

Iaccarino H.F. et al. · Nature, 2016
What the science does not (yet) say

The mechanism is solid. The deeper effects — meditation, hypnagogic states, subjective experiences — have been described for decades but remain difficult to quantify in a laboratory. This does not mean they do not exist: only that objectively measuring an inner experience is, by nature, limited.

This is why the lamp is not a medical device and does not claim to diagnose, treat, or cure. It is a tool for exploration and wellbeing — grounded in a known mechanism, without over-interpreting what it produces.

About

Curious by nature,
rigorous by trade.

I'm a Java developer and Tech Lead by profession. Not the most obvious background for someone talking about stroboscopic lamps — and that's exactly why I came to this out of curiosity, not faith.

I wanted to understand: what actually happens in the brain? Why do some people reach a state of deep relaxation in 10 minutes when it would have taken them months of meditation practice to get there?

I completed my training and obtained my certification. Since then, I've been working with people of very different backgrounds. ThinkClear is the simple, honest version of what I do: helping people access useful mental states, without unnecessary mysticism.

FAQ

The real questions.

Because a well-informed sceptic makes the best client.

Is it dangerous? Are there any contraindications?
+
The lamp is contraindicated for people with epilepsy or a history of light-sensitive seizures, pregnant women, people on heavy psychotropic medication, or in acute psychotic states. A questionnaire is completed before the first session. For all other profiles, the experience is non-invasive and without documented risk.
What does the experience look like visually?
+
With eyes closed, you perceive light patterns generated by your own visual cortex — mandalas, vortexes, geometric shapes, colours, tunnels. It's not an external projection: your brain is "manufacturing" what you see. Every experience is unique.
What's the difference with classical meditation?
+
Meditation requires progressive training. The lamp induces these states directly via an external stimulus — the brain synchronises naturally, without conscious effort or prior practice. Many regular meditators use it to go further or faster.
How many sessions does it take to "feel" something?
+
Most people feel something from the very first session. For lasting effects on concentration or sleep, several spaced sessions are recommended.
Roxiva or PandoraStar: what's the difference?
+
The Roxiva is more compact, gentle and modular — ideal for beginners and individual sessions. The PandoraStar has 12 star-shaped LEDs, offers extreme power and personalisation, and generates more intense visual experiences. We choose together based on your goal.
Does it work if I'm sceptical or don't believe in it?
+
Yes. The brainwave synchronisation mechanism (Frequency Following Response) is neurophysiological — it doesn't depend on your belief, just like a sleeping pill doesn't need you to believe in it to work. Sceptics are often the most interesting participants.
